Waste
Refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle - the waste heirarchy mantra. If you can't do any of those things with your used items, storing, binning or burning are the alternatives.

In most cases, recycling saves carbon emissions, avoids greenhouse gas emissions and reduces the quarrying, mining and extraction of our ever decreasing supply of natural resources.
