Six years ago, living at a different property, we had planning approval to erect a large carport on an extremely exposed site. The gentle pitch of the roof was south facing and ideal for some PV panels. The system comprises 8 x Sharp ND-L3E6E panels with a Solar Century SunnyBoy SWR700 inverter. We have since moved and brought the system with us, we used Becosolar to do the re-installation on our south facing slate roof. We made the decision to employ PV panels not as an investment but to do our bit for the environment, we'd like to double the number of panels when funds allow meanwhile we get immense joy from watching our old style meter go backward on even cloudy days!
